How the verdict works

Our rule Gamoryx on top of the race bonuses published by Maxbit and Hi Tech Gazette Confirmed.

  • Keep when your race gives at least 80% of the best race's bonus for your goal. For damage, any S-tier race also counts as a keeper.
  • Keep an A-tier race unless you have 10 or more rerolls. Losing it to a Human costs more than the upgrade gains.
  • Reroll when it gives less than 40% of the best race's bonus.
  • In between, reroll only with 10 or more rerolls. With Human at 49% per roll, a handful of attempts is more likely to lose your race than to beat it.
  • Damage uses the same model as the build calculator, with a skill share typical for your grimoire. Leveling counts XP plus half of Mastery XP. Farming combines chest loot with kill speed.
What the calculator cannot see
Only Human's 49% roll chance is published, so we cannot give exact odds for each race. PvP value from Seraph's move speed is also not counted as damage. If you play mostly PvP, Seraph is a keeper.

True DevilDevilSAlways. There is nothing to reroll toward.
Half-DevilDevilSAlmost always. Rerolling for True Devil risks landing a Human (49%).
Devil-TouchedDevilAKeep it unless you have plenty of rerolls; High Elf can beat it on cooldown-heavy books.
High ElfElfAKeep it on burst or spam books. Only Half-Devil or True Devil clearly beat it.
SeraphAngelAKeep it for PvP or mobility; for pure PvE damage a Devil is better.
ElfElfBKeep it if you are out of rerolls.

Race reroll FAQ

Should I reroll Human in Clover Legends?

Yes, if you have rerolls. Human gives only +5% XP and is the most common result at 49% per roll, so almost any other race is an upgrade for damage.

Should I reroll Half-Devil for True Devil?

No. Half-Devil is only 3% damage and 2% crit damage behind True Devil, and every reroll risks landing a Human. Keep it.

Should I reroll High Elf?

Usually not. On cooldown-heavy books such as Light, Lightning, Dark and Time, High Elf's −25% cooldown is level with or ahead of the Devil races in our model.

Can I get my old race back after a reroll?

No. A reroll replaces your race. It can also give the same race again; a September walkthrough shows Human three times in a row.

Is there pity on race rerolls?

Devil and Angel each have a pity counter on the Profile panel. The threshold has not been published.
